QuotingYes, I rather like this God fellow. He's very theatrical, you know, a pestilence here, a plague there. Omnipotence. Gotta get me some of that. Recent comments

Still AliveUnbelievable I know, but I am still alive - I've not been deliberately quiet on here, just been a tad on the busy side for the last few weeks. That and twitter seems to reduce my need to blog about what I've been up to. But it's been a while, and at least one person has been asking after me ... so here's a quick catch up, in a bit of a random order. Out of Office reached it's conclusion a few weeks back. We're hoping to be able to return to it, but funds are tight at the moment, and other projects are taking priority right now. Hopefully I'll be able to write more about this some point soon, but in summary - happy with the show, but it needs more of an audience (and more work!) I've started doing a bit of programming again. Even layabouts like me need to earn a crust, so I've been exploring a few options there. It's early days, but hopefully a project will come together in the next month or so ... could be an iPhone app, could be flash. Maybe both. I've been doing a lot of video editing, which is where a lot of my time has gone. The main project has been a video for Dan Antopolski, a very funny comedian who I've been a fan of for years. It's almost finished, so I'll be linking to it when it's up (I also got to be an extra in it a couple of times, which was great fun). And from the writing perspective, I've got a couple of short films in the works which I am pretty excited about. One is written, has a director, and is awaiting one more re-draft, the other is outlined and I'll be writing it over the next month or so. It's been weird coming out of the production period of Out of Office and getting back into the writing. It was going well, but the last week or so I've not really done much. But plans are afoot, and I am confident this will soon be in hand. As for turning 32 on Tuesday - it was a lovely day involving work, cake, cinema and sushi. Pretty much a good time was had ;-) Tomorrow is the full on celebration with a BBQ (hopefully the weather will hold out). Uhmmm, other items - Transformers 2 was disappointing, not enough Bay-hem, way too much tedious, uninspired exposition that was completely unnecessary. By the time the fights happened, I'd long since ceased to be interested. Michael Bay does not do good sequels (I know some people would debate his ability to make good films, but I would disagree on the basis that Bad Boys and Transformers both rocked ;-) A good cinema experience was Sunshine Cleaning - emotional and funny, it doesn't try to package everything up neatly. It does end a little abruptly, but this might just be because I'm completely unused to seeing 90 minute films anymore ;-) Probably lots of other things I've failed to mention ... but really this is a long enough piece of waffle as it is!!
