Out of Office: The Five Day Shoot

Last week was the big block of filming that we had scheduled for Out of Office. We shot three episodes in the five days, so we now have four episodes in the can. The next big step will of course be the editing, which may take a little bit of time. But I am still hoping that we can have something ready by the end of January. The experience of the shoot was fantastic. We had a brilliant bunch of people working on the set, and (of course) a fab cast. Everyone was extremely generous with their time and energy, and if all sets can be like that I am going to have to haunt everything I ever write. Obviously with the budget we're on, I was doing a lot of random jobs, as well as trying to help with the actual creative process. Through the week I acted as tea boy (although nowhere near as some - thank you!), boom operator, grip, and continuity. But the highlights were certainly the points where I got to work with people on the lines and scenes, working through issues or improvements to the script. That and experimenting with a syringe, a straw, and a mango smoothie to practice the nosebleed effect! I think we've managed to film some really good stuff, and I can't wait to bring it all together. Thanks again to everyone who worked on it - if we do your efforts any kind of justice, it'll come out great!

I have setup a facebook group where you can see some of the photos from the shoot. A website will come at some point ...
