So I just watched the video of the kid being tasered at the Kerry speech, and it made me feel physically nauseous. There are 6 police officers actually holding him down, and *then* they taser him. And all he did was ask some questions – even if he was over his allotted time, or perhaps being slightly obnoxious (from what I saw he wasn’t, but the video is edited a bit), but there was clearly no need for it. He was on the ground, and he was going nowhere.
Bad and scary implications for America, and (if usual trends are anything to go by), a worrying example of what the future in the UK might be as we make tasers more available to our police force.
Shocking, horrible stuff.
