A New Run

After my post yesterday, I got a suitably chastising email from Jenn, pointing out that I really shouldn’t need a race to motivate me to go out running. After a night of not exactly treating myself healthily, I gave this a little bit of thought, and reached the conclusion that one of the problems was that I was bored with running around the same park time after time. This reached a peak at the Gyro 10k, which I went to watch but could not participate in. Whilst it was great to watch my friends doing so well, it was pretty depressing to not run in the race that had been my goal.

My running curse

Unbelievable. After taking a week off for my metatarsal (suspected, but unconfirmed), I started running again on Tuesday. The run went well, if a little slowly, and I figured that I would probably be able to make up for lost time in advance of the race next weekend.
